Derby has been part of the school linking concept for many years now. In recent years, the project was facilitated by Global Education Derby, who we partnered up with to help lead on the neutral venue days. Unfortunately, Global Education Derby closed in the summer of 2023, providing the Open Centre with the opportunity to take over the project.

Pupils from different social, ethnic, faith or geographical backgrounds enjoy meeting and learning together. The process helps pupils to explore identity, become comfortable with difference and build connections with their local community.
